Tragedy struck on Sunday as speeding vehicle crushed a wedding guest and groom along Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Ilorin Kwara State.
Oceanicnews gathered that the incident occurred when the groom who recently had his wedding ceremony was taking the guest on motorcycle to motor park to board a vehicle to Lagos.
According to an eyewitness, a speeding SUV hit them from behind and on the process, crushed the skull of the guest who consequently died on spot and crushed the legs of the rider who is the groom.
Eyewitness also disclosed that the groom was a motorcyclist and was transporting the guest to a motor park at Wahab Folawiyo Road as the guest was said to have come from Lagos.
“The young man came from Lagos to attend a wedding in Ilorin. The groom, who is a commercial motorcyclist, decided to take him to the park before and the accident occurred on the way”. The source said.
