“Selling Indian Hemp Is In My Blood” Arrested Weed Seller Says.

For Umar Shehu who hails from Mariga Local government areas of Niger state, the business of selling weed is an act he can not stop on his own, as he said the business is in his blood.

A team of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) arrested the suspect while travelling with a large consignment of the prohibited Indian Hemp, along Mokwa road in Mokwa local government area of Niger state.

Umaru Shehu was arrested allegedly with 106 sacks of dried substances suspected to be Indian hemp weighing 1,072kg

The suspect who was arrestes with 106 sacks of dried substances suspected to be Indian Hemp and weighed 1,072kg confessed to newsmen that he had earlier been arrested and sent to a year in jail for being in possession of 64kg of dried Indian Hemp, but it has been difficult to stop the business.

“Weed business is my blood, it is extremely difficult for me to stop it. When I was embarking on this trip from Lagos to Sokoto, I never knew that the operatives would arrest me in Mokwa, it is my luck.” the suspect said.
