The Nigerian Army has disclosed that most business establishments that were destroyed or looted during the #EndSARS protests in some parts of Lagos State belong to Igbo businessmen.
The disclosure was made by Brigadier-General Ahmed Ibrahim Taiwo as he appeared before the Lagos State Panel of inquiry and restitution for victims of SARS and other related matters.
Although the Army denied accusations that it shot and killed unarmed protesters, they stated that Igbos beared the brunt of the violent Protests in Lekki, Ajah and nearby places.
The testimony is after the Army was invited by the panel in the wake of the October 20 shootings at the Lekki Toll Gate.
