Insecurity: Katsina Deploys Trained Dogs To Boarding Schools

The increasing spate of insecurity in Katsina State looks set to be a thing of the past as the state government has concluded plans to deploy trained dogs by security personnels to guard the state’s boarding Schools.

Oceanicnews was reliably informed that the State commissioner for Education, Dr Badamasi Lawal Charanchi who made the disclosure, stated that his office is to complement the efforts of the security personnel attached to each boarding school.

He said: “We were advised to deploy these dogs at each school because they have special abilities to detect intruder faster than human beings in many instances.
“These dogs, when deployed will alert the students and other security agents in case of any intruder or bandits when they are coming”, he said.
