The Abia State Police Command has arrested a murder suspect over the death of two brothers on Good Friday. The victims, Bright and Victory Osuagwu aged nine and seven respectively were strangled to death while their parents were away.
The suspect simply identified as Amanna confessed to Police that one Chukwuemeka Nnamani paid him the sum of N20,000 to help him kill the two brothers.
According to a report made by ABN TV, the ugly incidence took place at their home in Osisoma, Abia State
Reacting to the incident, the Abia State Police Spokesman, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, said the Command has commenced full investigation into the dastardly act.
He said the principal suspect, Chukwuebuka Nnamani, was arrested with the help of his alleged accomplice, Amanna, who was caught by people in the neighbourhood when he returned to burgle the Osuagwu’s house.
He said:“He also told the angry crowd that Nnamani paid him N20,000 to assist him to commit the dastardly act.
“He told the police that he was watching the environment for Nnamani to ensure that no one entered the place, while he strangled the boys to death,” he said.
