Ex Ekiti State governor and member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Ayodele Fayose has reacted to the address to Nigerians by President Mohammed Buhari.
Taking to Twitter to voice his disappointment in way and manner the speech was made, Fayose maintained that he has never believed in the ability of President Buhari to deliver the dividend of democracy to the Nigerian populace.
President Buhari who addressed the nation yesterday evening appealed for calm as violent Protests continue to rock the nation. Some Nigerians have however, continued to express dissatisfaction with the speech made by the president, as they opined that it was not capable of quenching the rage and chaos going on in the country.
Thousands of Nigerian youths have continued to demonstrate, calling for an end of police brutality and reform of the police sector. The peaceful protests however turned bloody after some Nigerian Soldiers allegedly opened fire on Protesters at Lekki tollgate in Lagos, killing unverified number of persons.
