Special adviser (SPA) to the governor of Enugu State, Hon Kentus Okechukwu Eze has bagged a Rotary Club International, Enugu Municipal award in recognition of his ‘silent humanitarian service to humanity’, OceanicNews reports.
The event, which took place on Sunday, during the club’s hugely attended Super Men Iri Ji/MUNI cultural festival at the Foodo Polis event center, Enugu saw in attendance highly placed dignitaries and members of Rotary Club International from across the world.
During his decoration by one of the Royal Fathers of the day, His Royal Highness, Igwe RTN Romanus Offormata(Igwe district 9142) conferred on Hon Kentus ‘Ezesinachi’, this he said is in recognition of his silent humanitarian service.
During his vote of thanks speech, Hon Eze said that the recognition and award given to him, though the second of such, as the first was given to him by His Royal Highness, Igwe A C Ude of Etiti, Obelagu Umana in the year 2016, is very much special to him because it came from a group whose trademark is humanitarian service, a gesture he has always believed in from time immemorial.
He thanked the club for taking cognizance of his selfless services and thereafter donated handsomely to the group in support of charity works.
Royal Fathers in attendance were Igwe Chika Agwa(ezedirioha 111 of Akegbe Ugwu kingdom) and His Royal Majesty ,Igwe Gregory Ugwu(JP, Ochinanwata 1 of Akegbe Ugwu kingdom).
Hon Kentus Eze was thereafter inducted as member of Rotary Club International by the club president, Rotarian Chijioke Iloegbunne and other club officials.
