It has been a harvest of projects as Hon Engr Simon Atigwe, the house of Reps member for Igbo Eze North and Udenu federal constituency, as the lawmaker marked a year in office.
Oceanicnews gathered that the lawmaker, who won comfortably during the last election, has wasted no time in dishing out the much anticipated dividend of democracy to the people. This he did by engaging in both human and infrastructural development.
When this reporter visited the constituency for assessment of works by the lawmaker, both completed and ongoing projects were sighted at various locations.
Among the projects are:
(1)A block of three classroom at Ufodo community (Completed)
(2)Maternity/health center ongoing at Aji.
(3)Borehole at Aji/Umuogboagu border.
(4)50kv Generator for the borehole at Ajala umuonu Umuida.
On human development, it was gathered that the distinguished lawmaker saw to the empowerment / training of farmers on piggery, cassava productions/ processing and fish farming, empowerment /skill acquisition for youths in masonry metal works, furniture works, barbing Saloon and software repairs.
An elated constituent who identified himself as Mr Enwe Chukwukero,a resident of Ogrute, showered eccunioms on the lawmaker, saying that he is truly living to his nickname which is “the kind man”.
He said: Hon Atigwe has been a source of blessing to the people of Igbo Eze North and Udenu. I voted for him during the election and has no regret doing so. Just a year in office and we have already started witnessing the breeze of change. This is to tell you that you(pointing at the reporter), may not be able to recognize this vicinity when our lawmaker must have spent four years and his subsequent reelection to complete his two term of eight years in Abuja” he jokingly remarked.
