A group, Igbo Eze North Peoples Forum has paid the medical bills of some patients that were discharged but still in the hospital as a result of their inability to pay their respective hospital bills.
Oceanicnews learnt that the group, acting on a clarion call by a blogger named Odoh Ugochukwu, stormed various hospitals within the vicinity to ascertain the veracity of the blogger’s claims.
At New Testament hospital Enugu Ezike, the group paid the respective bills of over six patients who have, from sources, remained in the hospital for over four months after being discharged. Among the patients are two women that delivered through the Caesarean section and a man that fell from a palm tree.
From New Testament hospital, the group proceeded to St Mary’s hospital(Shanahan annex) Ogrute, Igbo Eze north local government areas of the state where they paid the bills of four patients that have also been discharged but remained in the hospital.
Thanking the representatives of the group, the patients thanked them for their philanthropic gesture and prayed that God will replenish them.
