Dangote Truck Crush Two DELSU Final Year Students To Death In Delta

A cement-laden Dangote truck has crushed two final year students of Delta State University (DELSU) Abraka, Oceanicnews reports.
The victims identified as Emmanuel Maduka and Timryin Okoromadu were said to be good friends who were always seen together and were set to graduate in few months time before their tragic death occurred.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Tuesday, May 4 in Abraka, Delta State when the truck made to avoid hitting a motorcyclist and another vehicle on the ever-busy road, only to skid off the road, crushing the two students of Economic department in the process.

According to NaijaCover, “videos of the scene shows Maduka’s body partly trapped under the trailer, and Timeyin lying on a side of the road while sympathisers made frantic efforts to rescue any other victim by unloading the cement truck”.

The driver of the truck fled the scene on realizing the magnitude of the wreck the truck caused. However, the conductor was unlucky as he was mobbed by angry mob. It took the timely intervention of police men who rescued the conductor and whisked him away to the station.

Spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Edafe Bright who confirmed the incident said:

“I have two casualties for now. I don’t know if they have discovered another one. I know the conductor was rescued from being mobbed and is currently in our custody,”
