The whereabouts of the fiery Enugu Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has continued to remain unknown as the Department for State Security (DSS) which has been alleged to have picked up the priest has denied the claim, stating that the embattled priest is not in their custody.
Recall that the priest recently came under fire by the presidency after he called for the resignation or impeachment of president Mohammed Buhari over the rising spate of insecurity in the country.
As protest continue to rock Emene axis of Enugu over the ‘disappearance’ of the fiery priest, it has been reported that the protesters have proceeded to the Bishop’s Court, calling on Bishop Callistus Onaga to produce Fr. Mbaka.
Dismissing the claims that the DSS picked up the fiery priest, the spokesman of the DSS, Peter Afunaya, however, told Vanguard that the service was not in possession of Fr. Mbaka.
Afunaya said: “Rev Fr Mbaka is not with the DSS. The DSS did not pick him up, please.”
