Rt. Reverend Rufus Victor Ajileye Adepoju, the Diocesan Bishop of Ekiti West diocese has been suspended by the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion for allegedly sleeping with a Priest’s wife.
The suspension letter which was obtained by Oceanicnews and dated December 11, 2020, and signed by Primate of the Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba indicated that the embattled Bishop owned up to the allegation and was consequently suspended and barred from participating in all activities of the church for a period of one year.
Mr. Adepoju was found guilty of having sexual relationship with the wife of a priest placed under his care and employment. However, the wife of the priest and her husband weren’t named in the letter making rounds in the internet.
