Anambra state government through the state commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue arressted children of school age seen hawking various items during school hour, Oceanicnews reports.
This happened on the 13th day of November 2019 at Unizik junction, Authur Eze street, Eke Awka and other locations within the state capital Awka.
Among the kids rounded up were out-of-school children who the commissioner promised to foot the bills of the education and others who were used by adults to solicit for alms from the general public. Lady Mezue warned this category of kids to desist from such acts before uniting them with their parents.
