Actors Guild Of Nigeria Press Release

In a bid to revamp the movie industry and promote the welfare of actors in the industry, the Actors Guild of Nigeria Enugu State chapter has issued a press release after having a meeting with the relevant stakeholders in the industry.
The press release made available to newsmen by the Acting Chairman of Enugu State chapter of Actors Guild of Nigeria Hon Chidi Concord read thus:

“PRESS RELEASE

In line with our vision to rebrand,and Revamp Actors Guild Of Nigeria Enugu State Chapter within this short period , in line with the agenda of our National President, we have met with the stakeholders of the Guild, Elders forum, women Forum, youths forum, Nsukka Satellite Zone, Udi Satellite Zone, Taskforce team, Neighboring Guild heads and other relevant stakeholders of Actors Guild Of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter.
We discussed elaborately on how to better AGN, improve on members welfare and secure our members due to the security threats in the entire Nation, encourage and promote educative productions and reduce the production of uncensored/unwanted movies that’s capable of affecting the unity of Enugu and Nigeria in general. Illegal possession of fake currencies and fire arms in the name of movie productions.
Having discussed elaborately, we hereby resolved as follows;

Hon Chidi Concord

1) No Actor should be allowed to film in Enugu from 24th February 2023 henceforth without AGN Identification card.
2) Any audition/production going on in Enugu must give official notification to the state Secretariat of Actors Guild Of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter for proper documentations.
3) Every Actor filming in Enugu must move to locations with his or her AGN ID card for security reasons.
4) No production is to be allowed every last Thursday of the month from 6am till 2pm (our general meeting days)
5) Indecent dresses of our Actors will no longer be tolerated in Enugu State Chapter
6) Any Actor filming in Enugu (majorly stars/celebrities) must inform the Guild of their presence and also location movements on daily basis for security checks.
7) Members of the Guild must negotiate with their producer/Executive Producer before embarking on any production. The guild will not intervene in any case without proper negotiations.
8) Any producer filming in Enugu must give Actors atleast two meals daily
9) Any Actor found frustrating any production unjustly in Enugu will be suspended once investigated to be guilty.
10) Before making use of fake currencies, security uniforms, fire arms or any other weapon as props, the person must ensure that the security agencies are properly informed in Enugu State.
11) No form of arrogance, insults, sabotage or abuse will be tolerated among members of the Guild in Enugu State.
12) No producer or production outfit is allowed to collect money from members of the Guild in the name of paying for a role.
13) Any member found abusing any member of the Guild sexually will be made to face the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
14) New members will from now henceforth be screened, trained and well oriented before becoming a full member of AGN Enugu State Chapter.
15) Our relationship with the State Government, Security agencies, neighboring Guilds and other relevant bodies remains intact.

Note: Registration fee for new Members remains #30,000 while revalidation fee for old members remains #11,500 (amount to be paid in the Guild’s Account)
