Coal City Youths expresses disappointment over the exclusion of SouthEast from the Federal Government’s borrowing plan.

… Backs the agitation by Southeast Response Team (SOREST) ahead of their Press Conference holding tomorrow.

An Enugu based Socio- political and Youth advocacy movement *Coal City Youths Development Initiative*, has expressed disappointment over the exclusion of the Southeast Geo Political Zone by the Federal Government from the $22.7B borrowing plan already passed by the National Assembly.

In a Statement made available to newsmen in Enugu on Tuesday, the group’s Acting Director General Hon. Remiguis Ozonwama maintened that “As an Organization advocating for good governance, we lend our voice and support to the agitation against the exclusion. We are solidly behind all the legitimate efforts by Southeast Response Team (SOREST) to call the attention of the Federal Government to this obvious discrimination and marginalization with a view to redressing it in the interest of Nigeria’s sovereignty and peaceful coexistence”.

Reacting, the Director of Programs Coal City Youths Development Initiative, commended the efforts of the SouthEast lawmakers especially His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Prof. Ike Ekweremadu, Sen. Enyinanaya Abaribe, Hon. Henry Nwawuba and others for putting up a fight at the national Assembly against this injustice.
He eulogized the national leadership of SouthEast Response Team (SOREST) led by Comrade Aku Obidimma and advised them not to relent.

Let me also commend the Pioneer founder of Coal City Youths Development Initiative, Comrade Johnpaul Anih, for his undying commitment to this cause.

As an organization committed to engendering peace and development, We shall deploy every of our asernals in supporting this bid” he concluded.

He further reiterated the group’s readiness in reaching out to Ndi Enugu especially the rural dwellers.
